Who is this course for?
The course is aimed at installers and service engineers who are in possession of existing Gas (ACS) CCN1 qualifications and who are seeking to gain access to the MET1 assessment.
Entry Requirements
For Initial candidates: All operatives requiring MET1 initial assessment must be able to produce a current valid ACS CCN1 certificate and evidence that candidate has completed some training and work experience for the area concerned
For Re-assessment candidates: Must be able to provide a current ACS Core/appliance/element certificate.

The assessment covers
- Key requirements for the installation of domestic gas meters
- Meter exchange procedures
- Testing & Purging procedures
- Correct setting up and adjustment of regulators
- Labelling and Notices
- Identification of Unsafe Situations
How will you learn?
This course will be delivered on-site.
What will you need to bring with you?
Recommend that all candidates complete self study revision for the area concerned.
How will you be assessed?
Assessment is in the gas assessment centre under strict assessment conditions Both theory and practical are assessed by multi-choice and short written answers.
Where next?
Enables registration on the gas safe register for the prescribed area. This then allow the type of work to be undertaken.
