The Level Five apprenticeship programme covers a range of topics related to health and social care leadership:
- Statutory frameworks and codes of practice
- Systems and processes needed to ensure compliance with regulations
- Principles of risk management, assessment and outcomes
- Principles and underpinning theories of change management including approaches, tools and techniques
- Dignity
- Equality and diversity
- Legislative and regulatory frameworks which inform quality standards
- Theories and models that underpin performance and appraisal including disciplinary procedures
- Professional development
- Communication
- Safeguarding
The apprenticeship also entails:
- Level Two Maths and English
- 20% off-the-job training
- End-point assessment
Entry Requirements
- To be working in a management position within health and social care
- Good standard of English and maths
- 30 hours contract per week
- Enthusiasm to pursue a career in this sector

Will my apprentice need to come into college?
Most of the classes can be remote but if the apprentice needs to complete Functional Skills, they have the option of attending College for a block week, in the evenings or for one day a week.

They will need a laptop.
What progression can my apprentice expect after completion of their apprenticeship?
They can progress to a higher level qualification such as a degree.
