Course Information for Students
Who is this course for?
The 6 week course is for students who do not have English as their first language and is design to help them get into work. The course is three hours on four days each week.
Entry Requirements
You will undertake an initial assessment and based on your current skills you will be supported in your English and Digital Skills classes to enable you to progress quickly and smoothly.
What will you learn?
Students will have an opportunity to improve their English language skills with a range of topics, such as, career information, applying for jobs, creating CVs, interview techniques, health and safety, and work situations.
Also, students will be able to improve their digital skills by learning about digital devices and communication, document creation in MS Word and MS Excel, and being safe and responsible online.
How will you learn?
This course will be delivered on-site.
What will you need to bring with you?
There are no additional costs.
How will you be assessed?
Your progress will be assessed weekly and on successful completion of the course your will receive a college certificate
Where next?
You will have improved your skills to help you obtain employment or you could progress to further study.
