Who is this course for?
This is a great opportunity to study accounting software as a short course or as part of a series of courses alongside the Access Award in Bookkeeping, the Access Award in Accounting Software and the Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping. These courses can be studied back-to-back over a year or alternatively you can take individual courses based on what you want.
With this AAT qualification, you can build on your knowledge of accounting software packages from the Level 1 Access Award in Accounting Software – or you can enter at this level if you already have previous knowledge. You will learn practical skills, including using accounting software, entering accounting transactions and producing a range of reports.
Entry Requirements
AAT does not set any prerequisites for the study of this qualification.
However, for the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their studies with a good standard of English and maths.
What will you learn?
The Foundation Award in Accounting Software includes:
Setting up accounting software
Processing sales and purchase transactions
Performing bank and cash transactions
Performing period end routine tasks
Producing reports

You will learn on-site
What will you need to bring with you?
As part of your AAT course, you will need to purchase resource/text books to aid your revision. There may also be the additional cost of registration/subscription fees and exams (which can be discussed at interview).

AAT Fees = £48
Books = £20 (approx)
Assessments = £70 per assessment
AAT Fee and the cost for first exams is included.

- are set and marked by AAT
- are computer based
- are time limited

Further Study
You can progress to one of our other AAT programmes. Students completing the AAT Foundation Award in Accounting Software may wish to complete the Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping alongside it as a complementary qualification. This will give them an understanding of both manual bookkeeping and the practical use of accounting software.
