Course Information for Students

The course also includes assessment, to be arranged on a separate day.

The minimum age for a candidate taking this course is 16 years. You should preferably have knowledge of the basic use of machinery.

The course will cover:

  • The relevant legal requirements
  • How to avoid potential dangers
  • Essential maintenance
  • Correct use of ride-on mowers

On-site

You will be required to supply your own:

  • Steel toe-capped boots/wellingtons
  • Boiler suit
  • Writing materials
  • Lunch (there will be onsite facilities if you wish to purchase your lunch here)

There is a practical assessment, lasting approximately two hours, which is taken on a separate day to the training. Tests are organised by NPTC.
