Villainous prize for Beauty student

Derby College Group (DCG) Media Make Up student Phoebe Child has clinched the top prize in a competition run for students by London theatrical make up specialists Kryolan UK.

The company devised an enrichment project for the Roundhouse-based students who were set the challenge to design, create and submit photographs of an original make up design on the theme of theatrical villains.

Phoebe Child (18) from Belper was chosen as the winner for her design which she applied on herself (pictured).

Her teacher Laura Gardner said: “This was a brilliant enrichment project as it brought the students into contact with theatrical make up specialists who have shared their experience  – including regularly working with Covent Garden street artists.

“Phoebe’s work was outstanding and she is a worthy winner of the prize which includes some of the latest products designed by Kryolan.”
