Work experience

Gain hands-on experience in your child’s chosen industry – through exciting placements, employer-led projects, guest speaker sessions and company visits. Your child will have the opportunity to join one of our Employer Academies for a guaranteed interview at the end of their programme.

English and maths

Continue to improve their skills in English and maths alongside their chosen subject. This includes working towards GCSE grades 4 and above if they have not already achieved them. The English and Maths team are continuously working hard throughout the year to support and improve your child’s English and Maths skills . The team offer revision workshops and online support in order to help improve grades and skills.

Support tailored to your child

Your child will benefit from a Student Experience and Progression Coach who will be assigned to them throughout their time at College, ensuring their learning stays on track. Your child can also access a wide range of additional support to attain their goals, depending on their individual learning needs.

Employability skills

Your child will build transferable skills including IT, communication, teamworking, creativity, leadership, enterprise, problem-solving and decision-making – all the qualities employers are looking for.

Mission Pathway Tutorials

Your child will receive expert advice on making a smooth transition to the next stage of their life – whether into a job, an apprenticeship, further study or self-employment. Our Mission Pathway Tutorial programme helps your child make the right choices, supports their personal development and equips them with the skills to succeed at College and beyond.
