Derby College Group jumpstarts Lauren's equine career

A former Derby College student is now supervisor at the horse yard where she first honed her equine management skills.

Lauren Morley, 26, attended Broomfield College as a teenager and now also lecturers a new generation of students.

Lauren now hopes to use her skills in the future to set up her own show jumping yard.

Her career is underpinned by her two year BTEC National Diploma in Horse Management (level 3).

The course gave me a good understanding of yard management and equine health and there was always support available if you needed it. It was also very practical, which I liked.
