Level 5 course prepares Leila for business coaching

Former sales productivity manager for Europe, Leila Halilovic, has started her own business as a coach, mentor and consultant.

And in preparation for her new venture, she recently completed the level 5 Business Coaching and Mentoring course via Derby College.

Leila, now 32, previously worked for a large London-based global business as sales productivity manager, a high-powered role which regularly took her to Europe and the United States.

She now intends to use her experience of world markets and the software industry to assist other businesses with their growth plans. Leila enjoyed the level 5 and especially liked the opportunity to work with fellow students, many of whom are senior members of staff at Derby College.

It helped her forge new relationships and the two companies she worked with while on the course have since become clients.

Leila has a degree in  English Language and Literature from Sheffield Hallam University but found the coaching course helped enrich her business language.

She added: “I learned new terms and a more rounded way of expressing myself in business. I found the course helpful. It was all done online because of covid restrictions but that was fine with me.

Coming from a computer software industry background I’m familiar with it and I’m extremely comfortable working remotely.

I thoroughly enjoyed acquiring new skills and am thinking of enrolling on another Derby College course in September.

The nature of my business means I can work locally, nationally and internationally. There’s a lot to do, such as getting a new website, but I’m really excited to be working for myself as an independent business development consultant and business coach.”
